Description
A crisp, fruity White Peach Sangria made with fresh peaches, strawberries, mint, white wine, and peach schnapps or simple syrup. Serve it well chilled over ice for an easy summer drink.
Ingredients
3 peaches, sliced with pits removed
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 handful fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup peach schnapps or simple syrup
1 bottle white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio
Ice, for serving
Instructions
1. Wash and slice the peaches, removing the pits. Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries.
2. Add the peaches, strawberries, mint, peach schnapps or simple syrup, and white wine to a large pitcher.
3. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight, to allow the flavors to infuse.
4. Serve chilled over ice.
Notes
The drink becomes darker, more colorful, and more flavorful the longer the fruit sits in the liquid.
Raspberries can be used instead of strawberries.
Orange, lemon, and lime slices can be added for extra citrus flavor.
Caramelized orange slices make an attractive garnish.
For a traditional style version, replace the schnapps with 1/4 cup brandy and 1/2 cup simple syrup.
For a naturally sweetened version, use 1/2 cup demerara syrup or agave syrup plus 1/4 cup vodka or brandy.
For a lighter drink, add 2 cups sparkling water.
