Description

Soft, gooey Easy Monkey Bread made with biscuit dough, cinnamon sugar, brown sugar, butter, and a simple sweet glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cans biscuit dough

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/8 cup ground cinnamon

1/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup butter, or 1/2 cup if preferred

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

1. Cut or tear the biscuit dough into small pieces and roll them into balls about a few tablespoons in size.

2. Grease a loaf pan or bundt pan thoroughly.

3. Mix the cinnamon and granulated sugar together.

4. Coat each dough ball evenly in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

5. Arrange a layer of coated dough in the pan and sprinkle part of the brown sugar over it.

6. Add another layer of dough and finish with the remaining brown sugar.

7. Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the dough.

8. Sprinkle any leftover cinnamon sugar on top.

9. Bake at 350°F until the top is deep golden brown and the inside is fully cooked, about 40 to 45 minutes.

10. While it bakes, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth to create a glaze.

11. Once baked, drizzle the glaze over the warm bread before serving.

Notes

Use only as many dough balls as fit comfortably in the pan to avoid uneven baking.

Pour all the butter over the dough before baking for proper texture.

If the bread seems overly greasy or butter overflows, reduce the butter amount.

Bake until fully cooked inside to prevent a doughy center.

This recipe works in a bundt pan or loaf pan.

Baking time may vary depending on the dough used, so rely on a deep golden brown top as a sign of doneness.

Pizza dough can replace biscuit dough.

Serve warm for the best soft, gooey texture.

Store covered at room temperature up to 2 days, refrigerate up to 5 days, or freeze up to 3 months.
