Description
Easy Patriotic Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches made with store-bought mini ice cream sandwiches and red, white, and blue sprinkles. A quick frozen dessert for Fourth of July, Memorial Day, cookouts, and summer parties.
Ingredients
1 box (16 count) mini ice cream sandwiches
1 container red, white, and blue sprinkles
Optional: star-shaped sprinkles
Instructions
1. Line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper or wax paper.
2. Keep the mini ice cream sandwiches in the freezer until ready to decorate.
3. Place the red, white, and blue sprinkles in a shallow bowl.
4. Working with one sandwich at a time, unwrap it quickly.
5. Press all four sides of the sandwich gently into the sprinkles until coated.
6. Arrange the coated sandwiches upright in the prepared pan.
7. If the sandwiches begin to soften, return them to the freezer briefly.
8. Freeze the finished sandwiches for at least 1 hour before serving.
9. Serve frozen for the best texture.
Notes
Work quickly so the ice cream stays firm.
Extra dipping may be needed for full sprinkle coverage.
Star-shaped sprinkles can be added for a more festive appearance.
Best served frozen.
